Jerusalem images Album Olive wood Cover with nice Carving, Jerusalem 1882.
An 'Chain' album consisting of a collection of lithographic print plates from the Holy Land. The chain is connected and opens to images in a sequence of 2.55 meters!. The first four leaves form a panoramic view of the city of Jerusalem within the walls and the temple, followed by views from the Western Wall, the Temple Mount, the Mount of Olives, Via Delorosa, the places dedicated to Christianity and Islam, the Jordan, the city of Hebron, the Galilee, and Jaffa. The back cover lining pasted a map with three parts from the city of Jerusalem. On the front cover is a black lettering: 'JERUSALEM 1882' On the back is a fine carving work of a Franciscan cross ('Jerusalem Cross').
Album: 16x10 cm. Good condition.
