Anti-Semitic brochure: Polish in America about the Jews at the time of Poland's renewal, number 7, anti-Semitic brochure by Dr. Karol Rostanski. Warsaw 1925. Very rare.

86 pages, 22cm. Polish. Rare and not found in the International Library.

Background: Following the WWI Independent Polish state was reestablished. In the first years the Polish country was fighting against Russia. Inflation was high, the Agrarian Reform was failing, internal destructive opposition, and minority issues became severe. In 1922 the elected president Gabriel Narutowicz was murdered a few days after he was elected, after he was discredited because he was voted with Jewish voices (votes). With the rise of anti-Semitism influence, incitements against Jews increased, they were represented as foreigners, cheaters, destructer, and intimidaters. In this pamphlet Dr. Karol Rostanski, Polish activist in Washington, with his anti-Semitic teachings, displayed the Jews of America, as having an intense desire to lead, and greedy, ingrates, liars, and manipulators, who cause destruction to Poland, using anti-Polish campaign to slander Poland, and accuse her for causing pogroms and discrimination against the Jews. Also today there are anti-Semitic sites continuing to quote from this pamphlets, and the perceive this source of information in relations to the purpose of anti-Polish Jews.
