Rare letter about allowing agunot after the Holocaust personally hand written by the admo"r gab"d Erlau, Hungary, in the 1940's.
In the letter the Rabbi writes to the members of the the special Bet Din for permitting Agunot, and requests to rush to release allowance for an Agunah.

כ"ק הגה"ק רבי יוחנן סופר מערלוי [תרפ"ד-תשע"ו, -1923-2016] דור חמישי לחת"ם סופר. אחרי השואה הקים מחדש את קהילת ערלוי. חבר מועצת גדולי התורה של אגודת ישראל. בשנת ה'תש"ז הקים את ישיבת ערלוי. הוא מונה לאב"ד ערלוי ולראש הישיבה.
בשנת תש"י עלה לארץ ישראל יחד עם קבוצת בחורים שלמדו אתו. בשנת תשי"ג הקים הרב סופר מחדש את ישיבת ערלוי בשכונת קטמון. הוא היה אחד ממנהיגי הדור, חבר מועצת גדולי התורה שנטל חלק פעיל בדיוניה ובהשקפתה, לוחם מלחמות ישראל ורבם של אלפי חסידים ותלמידים בארץ ובעולם.
