The partially printed document relates to Louis Pierre de Sainson, Lieutenant Colonel serving the King of Westphalia in his engineer topographic cabine, who is authorized to remain under the service of the King, having consulted a report given by the Minister of Justice, he `..Swears the oath to H.M. the King of Westphalia..´ under the rules given according to Imperial decree of the 6th April 1809 and 26th August 1811. Signed by the Empress at the foot, also bearing several countersignatures. A document in very fine condition. With the reputed Crawford collection ink stamp provenance to the bottom right corner.
