Unidentified Rabbinical glosses. Classics. Sefer Haflo’ah. First Edition. Offenbach 1787.
Sefer Kesubah, which is the first section of the Sefer Haflo’ah (the second being the Sefer Ha’Makneh). Classic work of novella on Maseches and Hilchos Kesubos, by R. Pinchos HaLevi Horowitz.
R. Pinchos Ha’Levi Horowitz (1730- 1805), was one of the most prominent talmidim of the Maggid of Mezritch. He served as Rav in various communities including Vitkova, Lechowitz and most notably Frankfurt. He was renowned as a great Rav and Posek as well as a prolific writer and is often referred to as “The Haflo’ah” after his work on Maseches Kesubos. He had many distinguished talmidim, most notably the Chasam Sofer.
With lengthy unidentified rabbinical glosses. With library stamps of Mesivta Tiferes Yerusholayim, this copy was presumably used by R. Moshe Feinstein.
