Tov Shem. First Edition. Venice 1606.
Interesting sefer by R. Elyokim Ben R. Naftali of Poland (early 1600’s), consisting of selections from Talmud, Midrashim, Zohar and Rishonim (particularly the RaMBaN’s’ Sha’ar Ha’Gemul), concerning heavenly justice, suffering in the grave and the resurrection. The title of the sefer is based on the concept that through the acquisition of a “good name” (i.e. practicing good deeds) one will inherit the World to Come.
Vinograd Venice 1007. Isaac Gershon press. 32 pages. 19 cm. Moderate-fine condition. Worming professionally restored affecting text. Modern binding.
