Halichos Olam. Mantua 1593.
Important sefer explaining the methodology of the Oral Torah in general and the methodology of the Talmud in particular, as well as a commentary to the Thirteen Divine Attributes of Mercy, by R. Yehoshua HaLevi. Includes an introduction to the Talmud by the legendary Shmuel Ha’Nogid.
R. Yehoshua HaLevi (circa 1430-1510), was one the great rabbinical figures in North Africa. As a result of persecution, he relocated to Toledo where he authored this sefer. For generations this sefer was widely studied as an introduction to understanding the Talmud.
Vinograd Mantua 185. Ruffinello press. 40 pages. 19 cm. Overall very fine condition. Some worming on the margins of a few pages, not affecting text. Modern binding.
