Classic commentary of the Alshich on Megilas Koheles, published alongside a vowelized text of the Megillah. Published posthumously by his son R. Chaim Alshich.
R. Moshe Alshich (1508-1600), was a talmid of R. Yosef Karo (Bais Yosef) and R. Yosef Tiatzik. He was born in Turkey and emigrated to Tzefas together with the Bais Yosef, and later served as a Dayan on the Beis Yosef’s Beis Din. Revered for his phenomenal scholarship both in the revealed parts of the Torah as well as Kabbalah, he has the distinction of being referred to as the Alshich Ha’Kodosh (the Holy Alshich). His talmidim include R. Chaim Vital and R. Yom Tov Tzahalon (MaHaRITaT”Z).
