Collection of 16 Photographs – First Israeli Military Parade – 1948
Sixteen photographs documenting the first IDF (Israel Defense Force) Parade. The parade was held in July 1948, at the time of the truce during the War of Independence. The parade passed in the streets of Tel Aviv, and included all IDF Units. The photographs include: Soldiers from various units including the navy and the mule crops, the air force airshow, and “enemy loot” tank. Unknown photographer.
Ten photo postcards approximately 14X9 cm, and six photographs approximately 8.5X6 cm. Good condition, creases, wear, mark and numbers in pencil on the back of the photos, glue residues on one photo.
