(JERUSALEM).
Gachalei Eish [“Flaming Coals.”]. Singe page printed broadside. Reissue of the protest from 1875 against the establishment of the Central Library in Jerusalem.

Hebrew text.
Central folds. Folio.
Jerusalem: 1904
The Central Library contained Books that were regarded by Jerusalem traditionalists as of heretical nature. This broadside, signed by 23 rabbinic notables including Rabbis Meir Auerbach, Shmuel Salant and Moshe Nechemiah Kahanov, warns “watch that your children not to be captured in their net.” Also reissues the ban of 1896 opposing the newly established schools that teach secular studies.
