Important Letter Written and Signed by the Ktav Sofer.
Letter from Rabbi Avraham Shmuel Binyamin Sofer, author of the Ktav Sofer to Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Ulman, Rabbi of Makow. Handwritten and signed. 1854. [4] pages. 21×17 cm. One page written densely but legible on both sides of the paper. On the third page the Ktav Sofer wrote the name and address of the addressee: לידי י”ד [? ידיד נפשי] מחותני הגאון הגדול המפורסם מופת הדור חריף ובקי בחדרי תורה כקש”ת מו”ה שלמה זלמן אולמן אבד”ק מאקווא יע”א..”. In the letter he mentions his brother-in-law. Most of the letter discusses Torah. Please refer to the Hebrew for bibliographical information about the Ktav Sofer and Rabbi Ulman. Except for a restored tear on the bottom with blemish to the text, the letter is in fine condition. Folding signs. Tiny holes. Complete signature. Remnants of red wax stamp. Includes typed page of the contents of the letter.
