Platter for Seder night, made of silver (apparently not stamped). Large and impressive, made of silver involving relief work, engraving and etching.
The fifteen stages of the seder (Kadesh, U'Rechatz, etc.) appear at the center of the plate, in embossed block print. Surrounding them on the rim are six concavities designated for the six simanim of the seder (zro'a, beitzah, etc.). Two embossed Talmudic scenes, at the top and the bottom of the platter, depict the pilgrimage for the Passover sacrifice, matzah baking and the Passover night ceremony. Floral decoration on the surface of the platter. Magnificent, impressive platter by all accounts.
Diameter: Approximately 50 cm. Weight: 1.480 kg. Very fine condition.
