Wartime WWII/Holocaust-era Jewish civilian internee mail: 9.7.1942 stampless cover on air mail stationary from AVELLINO Italy to HAIFA, manuscript marked " Prisoner of War Post | Civilian Wartime Internee Post" & tied by local postmark + local police headquarters cachet on front and Italian double-ringed censor inspection cachet on back; passed British military censor (numbered circle on reverse), Egyptian civil censor + Palestine censor mail inspection/re-seal - 4 censoring bodies; front-stamped 4 SP 42 AHUZAT SAMUEL HAIFA (GD-117) arrival ( 2 month transit time). The sender may have been in nearby Campagna internment camp. Slit open top & left; few pieces missing of top edge on back. Unusual postal link during the Mussolini regime, especially as not Red Cross related & not on special postal stationary.
