A ROYAL CRUSADER LEAD BULLA OF KING BALDWIN I , 1100 – 1118 CE
46.9 gr., 44 mm in diameter. Axis 12. Obverse: The king is seated on the throne, holding globe with cross and staff. The Latin inscription reads: BALDVINVS DEI GRACIA REX IERVSALEM. Reverse: The city of Jerusalem, indicated by wall with gate in the center, behind, the Church of Holy Sepulcher, the Tower of David and the Dome of the Rock. Around, the Latin inscription reads: CIVITAS REGIS REGVM OMNIVM. In very good condition and extremely rare. See: Sandoli 1974, CICTS p. 131. Ex Shlomo Moussaieff collection, Herzliya Pituah.
