* Yad Sofer. Budapest, 1949, by Rabbi Moshe Sofer of Erlau, son of Rabbi Shimon Sofer, author of Hitorerut Teshuvah, son of the Ktav Sofer. Published by his son, Rabbi Yochanan Sofer - the Admo"r of Erlau. The book was gifted to the Admo"r Rabbi Avraham Eiger of Lublin. The Admo"r of Erlau mentions himself with his mother's name (!) for prayer. The Admo"r of Lublin's owner's stamp appears on the leaf preceding the title page.
Rabbi Yochanan Sofer of Erlau [1922-2016] was the great-grandson and grandson of the 'Chatam Sofer.' He survived the Holocaust in which his grandfather and father perished, may their blood be avenged. He established a yeshivah in Budapest for young men who survived the camps. He returned to his own city, Erlau, where he re-established the yeshivah. He later ascended to the Land of Israel and established the Chassidut there,as well as the 'Ohel Shimon' Erlau yeshivah in the Katamon neighborhood of Jerusalem.
Rabbi Avraham Eiger of Lublin [1914-2003] was a direct patrilineal descendent of Rabbi Akiva Eiger. He ascended to the Land of Israel and began serving as Admo"r in 1945. He resided in Bnei Brak, where he established a study hall.
