Chamudei Daniel. Waitzen, [1908]. Editor's Dedication and Rabbis' Stamps
Chamudei Daniel, on the laws of salting, meat in milk, and forbidden mixtures by Rabbi Daniel Ben Ya'akov, a halachic instuctor in Horodna for close to forty years.
Dedication (in Yiddish) by the editor, Rabbi Chaim Yehudah Sega"l, rabbi of Makowa, to Rabbi Avraham Phillip of Botschan, on the leaf preceding the title page.
Ownership stamps of Rabbi Moshe Reich, Av Beit Din of Maditz, (son-in-law of Rabbi Avraham Phillip), and of his son Rabbi Tzvi Hirsch, Av Beit Din of Meditz, as his father's successor and later in Jerusalem (HaChatam Sofer V'Talmidav, p. 601).
Rabbi Chaim Yehudah Deutsch [1876-1938] was born in the village of Klitz, where only two Jews lived. He was a leading disciple of Rabbi Moshe Greenwald, author of Arugat HaBosem, in Kleinwarden and later moved with him to Chust. He was known as a gaon and Chassid and was a halachic adjudicator in Makowa for 35 years. He often visited the Admo"r Rabbi Yechezkel of Shinowa and the Mahary"d of Belz. He authored several additional books including the Kol Yehudah Passover Haggadah. His sons served as important rabbis in the Land of Israel.
