Celebratory Postcard for the Upcoming Passover "Next Year in Jerusalem or in Warsaw" by Artist Max Victor. 1905. Extremely Rare!
Celebratory postcard made by artist Max Victor with a picture of matzah with a transparent round hole with a piece of matzah inside. The postcard was sent by "Shmuel" to his parents, asking how his family is doing, and his relatives, and he tells about what is happening with him and his friends.
There is a picture of a broken matzah on the postcard and the caption [Aramaic] "This is the bread of affliction" and Passover greetings in German (translation:) I hope these matzahs will sweeten your palate, wishing you a happy Passover."
The sentence "Next year in Jerusalem" appears in the margins of the postcard, with "or Warsaw" added by hand.
