Supplement to an Arabic Periodical - Elections in the Ottoman Empire, 1908
الاصمعي ["Al-Asma'i"], editor: Hanna 'Abdullah al-'Isa. Printed by Jurji Habib Hanania, Jerusalem, October 1908. Arabic.
Supplement to the third issue of the periodical "Al-Asma'i" (total of 11 issues were printed), considered to be the first periodical published in Arabic in Palestine. The supplement deals with corruption characteristic of the elections for public representatives in the Ottoman Empire and tells how candidates use money and power to buy their seats and votes; then it warns the readers to elect the right person to occupy the seat of a public representative and not vote for the person who pays a higher sum of money.
