URI ROT פסל עץ זית מגולף וחתום בעיברית ואנגלית ע"י האמן בדמות אמא ובן גובה 42 ס"מ קוטר בסיס 13 ס"מ ABOUT THE ARTIST : Uri Roth was born in Czechoslovakia and as a young boy he was interned in the infamous German death camp in Aushwitz, Poland during WWII. After his liberation from Aushwitz, he wanted to travel to Palestine but instead he was interned by the British on Cyprus . Eventually he was able to enter the country and worked on Kibbutz Dan for several years. He became a member of the Palmach and helped liberate the Galilee . Mr. Roth was trained in his craft by another famous Israeli artist, Marcel Janco. In the 1960s he entered his works in exhibitions in Tel Aviv and won several prizes for his art. He was associated with the Olive Wood firm of Hayadith in Pardess Hannah who presented his works.
