Complete set of Ein Yaakov published by R. Moshe Schapiro of Slavitta. This edition includes important approbations including R. Avrohom Yehoshua of Apta, R. Yisroel son of R. Levi Yitzchok of Berditchev, R. Mordechai son of R. Pinchos of Koritz (brother of the printer R. Moshe Schapiro) and R. Chaim Mordechai Margolis of Dubno.
As is well known, Seforim printed by the Schapiro family press were exceptionally favored by many of the great Chassidic Rebbes and in turn BY their followers.
The Sefer Ein Yaakov is a compilation of all the Agaddic material in the Talmud together with commentaries. It was compiled by R. Yaakov Ibn Habib (hence the name Ein Yaakov) and his son Rabbi Levi ibn Habib. For many generations, this sefer was widely learned and many communities had a “Chevra Ein Yaakov” dedicated to its study. Due to its immense popularity, it is particularly unusual to find a complete set in such fine condition.
