R. Yisroel HaLevy Reiz was a son of R. Yitzchok Isaac Segal Reiz one of the distinguished leaders of the Jewish community in Berlin. Tragically R. Yisroel HaLevy Reiz passed away in his father’s lifetime, and his father published this sefer with approbations of the Rabbonim in Berlin.
