Torah Scroll on Gevil - Yemen, 19th Century
Torah scroll. [Yemen, 19th century]. Ink on Gevil (soft texture, dark reddish-brown hue). Yemenite scribal script. Some of the membranes were replaced and are written in a later script, ca. early 20th century. Height of membranes: approx. 48 cm. Fair condition. Stains, tears and wear.
