The holy book "Or Ha'Chaim" on the Torah, Pshat, Remez and Sod. by Rabbi Chaim ben Atar. According to the version of the title page: "Prepared and researched … by the scholar complete in wisdom and piety and modesty rabbi Chaim Atar, a resident of the west, who now established his Beit Midrash in the city of Jerusalem … Novellae which the Rishonim do not assume…"

Glosses:

In the book of Shemot (leaf 22, 2), a gloss in Western script from the time of printing "106 pesukim alu siman", an important comment! since there had been a printing error and at the end of Parashat Boh, it was written "115 pesukim yimneh siman" yet in fact, in Parashat Boh there only 106 verses. In addition, three glosses in Italian script from the time of printing (a long gloss was slightly damaged to the leaf being worn).

Description of the copy before us:

A lacking, restored copy. (The missing leaves had been completed with a nice photocopy, on similar paper, matching in size to the original leaf). [originally, the pagination of the leaves was: Section A. [4], 86, 77 leaves. Section B. [2], 60, 72, 58, 8, 12 leaves].

In the copy before us: Section A is lacking the title page and the two leaves after it. Leaf 1 was partially completed. Leaves 69-70 were completed from another copy (original). Section B I slacking the title page and leaf 1 and its last eight leaves and 12 leaves from Haftarot. In addition, there are leaves with restored edges, sometimes with damage to text. All restorations were professionally done.

It should be noted that the majority of the leaves are in good-very good condition. 222x32cm. Impressive leather bindings.
