By Rabbi Yisrael Meir HaKohen of Radin. Page before the cover and the front blank page have the word “Moga” written on them. | The Chafetz Haim would check every book of his printed to make sure there were not printing errors, and would write the word “Moga” himself to make note that it passed his approval. Many of these books have disappeared over the years because of rebinding or erasure of the inscription. | Rabbi Yisrael Meir HaKohen (1838-1933), known as the Chafetz Hayyim because of the book before us now, was one of the greatest poskim of the last generations, and is known by the entire Jewish People. Studied in Vilna, taught in Vasiliški, and established his yeshiva in Radin. Among the founders of Agudat Yisrael, participated in its Great Congress in Vienna (1933), and was made the world president of the Council of Torah Sages. | Signature of ownership. Original binding covered in cloth. Rear binding and spine are repaired. Light repair on a number of pages. | 155 (supposed to be 152) pages. 23cm. Generally good condition.
