The book “Open Letter to the Minister HaTzaddik Sir Moshe Montefiore” by the Geonim Rabbi Meir Auerbach and Rabbi Shmuel Salant, accompanied by the story “Residing 40 Days in the Land of Israel” by Sir Moshe Montefiore in English. Personal copy of Sir Moses Montefiore!! London, 1875.
The latter is Moses Montefiore’s journal from his trip to Israel. On the inside front bining is a sticker with a picture of Montefiore sitting in his home and looking at a picture of his wife, the Baroness Judith Montefiore (born into the Rothschild family). On the inside back cover is a sticker Ex Libris of Montefiore with the symbol of the Baron. Printer: Wertheimer and Lee. 148 pages, 22cm. Generally very good condition.
