1919:
White Army propaganda poster from the Russian Civil War era, depicts Trotsky as a large demon-like figure with bright red skin and Chinese soldiers below, wearing braids and blue and gold uniforms). The imagery has a clear anti-Semitic component, as many young Jews became revolutionaries and so were often blamed for the ‘red discord’ in Russia.
