Letter from Rabbi Leibush Rosenberg
Letter handwritten and signed by Rabbi Leibush Rosenberg to the chief rabbinate of the Tel Aviv-Jaffa district, Elul 1937.
In the letter, the gaon requests that when a person named Avraham Shlomo arrives at the Beit Din a get document for divorce from his wife be arranged for him, to be sent via messenger to the Beit Din in Lodz.
Rabbi Leibush Rosenberg was among the great disciples of the holy Admor Rabbi Yechiel Meir of Ostrovtza, and also among the disciples of Rabbi Avraham Yehoshua Heschel Berenstein, author of Sanhedrei Ketanah. He served as a rabbi and member of the Vaad HaRabbanim in Lodz, and composed many halachic responsa. He appears on the poster for the Chachmei Lublin yeshivah among the rabbis of Lodz.
