Silver Necklace - with Russian Coins. Woman's Jewelry, Caucasus, 19th Century
Large, elegant silver woman's necklace with coral stones and silver Russian kopek coins, Caucasus, 19th century.
Silver coins with values of 20 kopeks and 10 kopeks hang from nine hoops made of small silver beads. The coins include a rare kopek coin from 1768, and additional Russian coins from 1840-1865. There is a red coral stone in the center, as well as another stone.
Provenance: The Rabinowitz and Mizrachi Families Collection - The famed rabbis' families in Cuba and Baku.
Height: 43 cm. Maximum width: 32 cm. Very fine condition.
