Issues 3 and 5 of the Jewish Brigade's Artillery Corps' bulletin, Britain 1943.

The leaflet contains extensive reference to the annihilation of European Jewry and the role of the Brigade's soldiers in response: "The horrifying reports coming to us from the exile of the diaspora about the annihilation of our people incite and shock each one of us ... if, after the war, refugees of the exile ask us what we did during these days of the Holocaust, where we were when the danger of destruction was foreseen for the house of Israel - What will we answer them then? When we have been given the opportunity to gird a sword and present ourselves as partners in the redemption of the world - did we fulfill our duty? ... More than seven million Jews are in the enemies' hands ... all that has happened in history overflowing with the slaughter of masses of our people is nothing compared to what is being done to us today ..."

This leaflet also references the events of the period: "What will we say and what will we not say anymore? What will we add - we, the soldiers, will not be consoled by words! We will join our depression to the general depression of the yishuv, of the remnants of the destroyed people. Six months and more have passed since we heard of the horror - and the annihilation continues relentlessly ... our people are being led like sheep to the slaughter, they will not rise up nor revolt ... we have also heard of those who go to their deaths dressed in their holiday clothes, like the martyrs for the sanctification of the Name of Heav-n in previous generations ... of deaths of brothers in arms, far out at sea, our rampart stands silent in memorial ..."
