More than 40 letters of the archive of Dr. Yosef Kastein, which were sent to him and several which were written by him.
The letters are from the 1930's. written in German and other languages. Two Hebrew documents. Many of the letters were sent by Yoacim Goldstein, a publisher and bookseller in Germany, who lived and operated in Tel Aviv since 1939.

Dr. Yosef Kastein
Josef (later Yoseph) Kastein, (6 October 1890 - 13 June 1946), was a German-born writer and jurist. He wrote Eine Geschichte der Judenpublished by Rowohlt in Berlin in 1931 (translated into English, Hebrew and Dutch).
The book was written from an original historisophical perspective. The German-Israeli journalist Shalom Ben Chorin described Kastein as "a historian of the Jewish soul". During the 1930', Kastein became a worldwide renowned author. 
In 1934, his books were banned in Germany and at the end of that year, he immigrated to the Land of Israel.
