An important collection!
Orah Ido immigrated to Israel from the Czech Republich during the 1940's. She was the actress in many monodramas of biblical stories, acting Joseph and David, among others. Her plays were a great success.
Ben Gurion, who was an avid Bible-lover, wrote to her after watching the play about King David:
"I greatly enjoyed the way you acted King David - doing everything by yourself. It was an unforgettable experience".
Dr. Chaim Gvaryahu, the chairman of the Worldwide Jewish Bible Society wrote: "I am convinced that Mrs. Ido's artistic enterprise is included in the seventy faces of the Torah".
