The book Beit Aharon and additional books by Rabbi Avarahm David Lavut Av Beit Din of Nikolaev. Vilnius 1880. First edition.
On the leaf after the title page, an approbation by the Rebbe Rabbi Shmuel of Lubavitch and the signature and stamp of the author. (It should be noted that it is most likely that the author signed all copies of his book). Condition: Good.

Rabbi Avraham David Lavut (1815-1890) was a leading rabbi and Hassid of Chabad. A disciple of the 'Tzemach Tzeddek'. For forty years he served as a rabbi in Nikolaev. He edited and added additions to the book 'Torah Or Ve'Sha'ar Ha'Kollel' by Rabbi Shneur Zalman of Liady.
His granddaughter is the Rebbetzen Chana Schneersohn, the mother of the Rebbe rabbi Menachem Mendel of Lubavitch.
