Wonderful Philatelic Postcard, 1901 – Postmarks of Four [!] Post Offices of Jerusalem: the French, the Ottoman, the Austrian and the Russian – One of a Kind!
In 1901, a tourist arrived in Israel who was a collector of philately items. When he arrived in Jerusalem he sent a postcard with an Ottoman postage stamp and a postmark of the French post office of Jerusalem. However, as a true collector, he was not content with it and went to the Ottoman, Austrian and Russian post offices of Jerusalem, asking them to add their postmarks to the postcard, which they did. In addition, he added the postmark "R" of the registered mail of the Russian post office. This postmark is even rarer since according to the Bell Catalog, such a postmark is known only from ten years later!
The postcard was sent from Jerusalem to Bulgaria.
