Rabbi Yaakov Sasportas [1610-1698] was an Italian sage and one of the first fighters of Sabbateanism. Rabbi in Tlemcen, Fez, Sale, Amsterdam, London, Hamburg and Livorno. Authored Tzitzat Novel Tzvi against the false messiah Shabbetai Tzvi.
