Torah, Prophets, and Writings. "The Old Testament, English and Hebrew, with critical and grammatical remarks on the Hebrew, and corrections of the English." By Anselm Bayly. London, George Bigg and Edward Cox Press, 1774. Four volumes.
Tanach with English translation on facing pages; English translation in two columns. Includes two folded maps, 1) the land of Canaan with the tribal divisions, and 2) the Sinai desert with the Children of Israel's journeys. The Hebrew title page contains a poem indicating the contents and goals of the publication.
Rare edition. Listed in Zedner, 102. Not registered in the Bibliography of the Hebrew Book nor in the National Library.
Very fine condition. Original bindings. Dismantled bindings in Part I and II's.
