'Scene from the Life of Spanish Immigrants in Salinoka in the late 18th Century' - Rephael Avraham Shalem - lithographic print, Moznon Press, Bezalel Jerusalem 1937.

Kindling the eternal light towards Shabbat - magnificent work at Moznon Press.

The artist Rephael Avraham Shalem [RO"Sh] was born in Salonika in 1888, graduated with Bezalel's first cohort, and later taught there. This picture was prepared for print in 1916 the way it appears here, but the printing expenses were then beyond his ability to finance, so it was finally printed only in 1937.

Size: 63x42 cm.

Condition: Very fine.
