Group picture - fourth cohort of the World Central Yeshivah ("Merkaz HaRav") with a photo of Rabbi Avraham Yitzchak HaKohen Kook at its head along with the Roshei Yeshivah, Karp photographers, Jerusalem, [1928].
Group photo of the Roshei Yeshivah and students, including: Rosh HaYeshivah Rabbi Avraham Yitzchak HaKohen Kook; his son, Rabbi Tzvi Yehudah HaKohen Kook; Rabbi Yaakov Moshe Charlop; Rabbi David HaKohen (HaRav HaNazir); and Rabbi Yitzchak Arieli. On the right is a picture of Rabbi Avraham Aharon HaKohen Borstein [who passed away two years earlier, after working in the yeshivah for only 9 months].
The 78 depicted students include many who later became prominent Torah scholars and disseminators. Known as the "Mother of Zionist Yeshivahs", it was founded four years earlier, in 1924, by Rabbi Avraham Yitzchak HaKohen Kook, after many attempts to found it starting in 1909 when he served as rabbi of Jaffa.
