This work is considered by many bibliographers to be the first extensive halachic work published in America. With an approbation written by R. R. Tzvi Hirsch Grodzensky (1858-1948), was among the most illustrious students of the Volozhin Yeshiva and the Kovno Kollel. In 1891, he immigrated to America and served as the Rav of Omaha, Nebraska for over 50 years. He was a cousin to the famed R. Chaim Ozer Grodzensky.
