Rabbi Moshe Teitelbaum of Satmar (1915-2006), the Barech Moshe, was born in Sighet (Romania) to the Atzei Hayyim of Sighet. He was a student of his uncle the Admor of Satmar, and during the Shoah was sent with the rest of his family to Auschwitz, where his wife and 3 children were murdered. After the Shoah he returned to Sighet and tried to reorganize religious life among the survivors. He feared the new Communist government and immigrated to the United States where he founded the Atzei Hayyim Sighet synagogue in honor of his father. After his uncle’s death (without children), he was appointed his heir and took over the Admor status and then became leader of the Charedi community in Israel. | Shevet Mussar cover page and 1st page are missing.
