Drashot and research by the Gaon Rav Meir Leibush Malbim (the Malbim), Kratstin 1839. Last page of the book has the personal stamp of the Malbim, and on the page before the cover is a dedication handwritten: “Given to my educated son Naftali Chai.” | Rav Meir Leibush Malbim (1809-1880) is one of the most famous sages across the generations. Known as a genius, this book was published when he was very young. Served in the rabbinate of many cities in Germany, Ukraine, and Romania. Fought the maskilim of his generation and was persecuted by them as a result. Won fame mainly for his commentary on the Tanach, which became a foundational commentary on the Bible. | Rear binding missing. | [1] 44 pages, 21cm. Generall ok to good condition.
