Large Collection of Souvenir Medallions, Medals and Badges – Sports Events and Marches – Israel, 1930s-1980s

Large and high-quality collection of approximately 320 souvenir medals, medallions, and badges for sports events and various competitions. Palestine, 1930s-1980s (approximately 20 items from the 1930s and 1940s; most items are from the 1960s and onwards).
The collection includes, among other things, badges, souvenir medals and medallions from dozens of marches all over the country, including various marches held by the HaPoel and Maccabi movements, as well as popular and regional marches. The collection also includes badges and medals from swims organized by Hapoel; badges, medals and medallions struck for various sports competitions; a number of badges and medals awarded to the participants of the first "Maccabiah" (1932) and the second "Maccabiah" (1935) and a number of badges from the sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth and tenth "Maccabiah" games; badges of sports organizations; badges and medallions of various car-racing clubs in Palestine, mostly from the 1930s-40s; and other badges, plaques, medals and medallions struck for sports events, national sports days, and more.
