Passover haggadah, with copperplate pictures. Trieste, 1864. Musical notes for "Passover night tunes, customary since the ancient times of our ancestors," Adir Hu, Adir BiMluchah, and Echad Mi Yodea. Hebrew edition with Italian translation in facing columns.
This haggadah was published by Avraham Chai Morforgo, it contains 58 copperplates by C. Kirchmayr at the top of almost every page, and his initialed signature on every picture, with explanations under each illustration.
Yaari 898: Otzar HaHaggadot 1216. One of the most magnificent haggadahs in the history of printing, with a great number of pictures, more than any haggadah previously printed.
[4], 40, 41-44, 45-48, 49-64 [2] pages. Pages 40-45 were unintentionally printed in the incorrect place. Original red cardboard binding with gilt writing on the spine. Tears with lack on the spine, the body of the haggadah is in fine condition except for stains on a number of the pages. Moderate-fine condition.
