Handwritten Letter from Rabbi Ben Zion Bloom, 1929
A handwritten letter dated 1929 from Rabbi Ben Zion Bloom, Av Beis Din of Berettyóújfalu, with a note on the back side from his son, Rabbi Shmuel Yehuda.
Rabbi Ben Zion Bloom (1879 - 1945) was the son of Rabbi Amram, author of Beis Shiurim, and a disciple of the Shevet Sofer and Da'as Sofer. A renowned scholar, he prolifically exchanged with the leaders of his generation and served as Av Beis Din first in Szarvas and later in Berettyóújfalu. He passed away in the Budapest Ghetto.
