Letter from Rabbi Aryeh Leibish Rubin of Cheshinov, Father of Today's Bobov Dynasty
A letter postmarked 1912 handwritten entirely by the Admor Rabbi Aryeh Leibish Rubin, Av Beis Din of Cheshinov, regarding sales of his sefarim.
Rabbi Aryeh Leibish Rubin of Cheshinov (1891 - 1942) was the son of Rabbi Yitzchak Tuvia Rubin and grandson of Rabbi Chaim of Sanz. He married the daughter of his cousin, Rabbi Simcha Yesaschar Ber Halberstam of Cheshinov and was crowned rabbi and Admor before the First World War. He spent the war years in Siberia and passed away there. Most of his work was lost.
Rabbi Shlomo Halberstam, the Admor of Bobov in the United States, was his son-in-law, and the entire Bobov Dynasty of the last generation are his grandchildren.
