Sepher Hayashar [anonymous Franco-Hebrew medical text]
Single, two-sided leaf written in a semi-cursive Hebrew script in a French hand, brown ink on vellum. Commences in middle of Sha’ar (Gate) 106 and ends at the beginning of Sha’ar 109. Marginal holes, folds. 9 x 13 inches.

     The anonymous author of this work was a disciple of Nathan of Montpellier. The text analyzes the causes of various ailments, their symptoms and which herbs or drugs may alleviate or cure the ailment.
