Franz Haselbauer (1677-1756) was an Austrian Catholic who spent most of his life teaching in Prague. This text is directed to Jewish children detailing the principles of Christian belief. Due to the author’s desire to reach a broad readership, the work is written in a familiar, colloquial Yiddish - itself, of important orthographic interest.
