Divrei Yechezkel. The Admor of Shinova. Handwritten Inscription by his Son-in-Law, Rabbi Naftali Rubin of Vishnitza

Divrei Yechezkel, chassidut on the Torah and holidays by the Admor Yechezkel Shraga Halberstam of Shinova. Krakow, 1922. Inscribed by his son-in-law, Rabbi Naftali Rubin of Vishnitza.

Specifications: 44, 46-49 leaves, 24 cm.

Background: Second edition, with supplements that were not included in the first edition. One of the publishers was Rabbi Chaim Baruch Rubin, the author's grandson, and son of Rabbi Naftali Rubin.

Unique Features: The title page bears a lengthy dedication by Rabbi Naftali Rubin, rabbi of Vishnitza. He writes that he gifts this work to his father-in-law, the Admor of Shinova. With his two stamps. Rabbi Naftali Rubin was born in 1861 and traveled to Rabbi Chaim of Sanz. He married the rabbi's granddaughter, the daughter of Admor Yechezkel Shraga of Shinova. He was renowned for his diligence and proficiency in Torah studies. His father-in-law stated that he knew all four sections of the Shulchan Aruch with commentaries, backwards and forwards. His father-in-law appointed him to the rabbinate, and not as an Admor, and he indeed served as rabbi in a number of communities. He served as rabbi in Vishnitza and the surrounding region for thirty years. He passed away in 1938.

Condition: Very fine, other than a broken binding.
