"Cruel Destruction in an Atomic War Threatens Israel, Too!". A poster issued by the "Committee for peace in Israel". "Hadefus Hachadash" press, Tel-Aviv, 1955.
A poster issued by the "Committee for Peace in Israel" calling to ban nuclear weapons. Two photographs are printed in the center, one of a hydrogen bomb explosion tested in Bikini Atoll in Marshall Islands in 1954, and the other of an atomic canon in West Germany. Printed on the bottom of the poster: "Citizen of Israel! Atom and hydrogen bombs threaten us with cruel destruction and extermination – support a demand to destroy and ban atomic weapons! / the government of Israel must demand in an international forum the prohibition of atomic and hydrogen weapons!"
Approx. 69X48 cm. Good condition. Folding marks. Tears, mainly at folding lines (some restored).
