"I Demand from My Brethren to Enroll their Sons and Daughters in the Schools of Chinuch Atzmai." Appeal from the Baba Sali to save the Moroccan Children

Poster in which the holy Rabbi Yisrael Abuchatzeira - the Baba Sali - turns to Moroccan Jewry and demands that they register their sons and daughters in the Chinuch Atzmai schools "that was just established," Elul 1943.

"The education of children to Torah and mesorah is the limb upon which the soul of the nation is dependent....let us reflect upon the shining past of our ethnic group that was educated according to the holy traditions of Yisrael, on the other hand, today, with the terrible deterioration that took place in the education of our generation....everyone who believes in the Torah of Hashem...should know where to to give his sons and daughters...to save them from the depths....and now at this time, I demand from all my brethren to enroll their sons and daughters in Chinuch Atzmai that was, with Hashem's help, just established by the great Ashkenazi and Sephardic rabbis in Eretz Israel." The great rabbi's signature is printed in the margins.
