Album of Views and Flowers from the Holy Land. Large Format. Jerusalem, Early 20th Century
Album of views and flowers in olive-wood binding. Photographs mainly of views of Jerusalem, in large format. Dried flowers from the same area are attached to the facing page of each picture. Magnificent olive-wood binding with a carving of the Franciscan cross ['Jerusalem Cross'] and the inscription: "Jerusalem" on the reverse.
There are ten pictures protected by parchment paper - various views of Jerusalem, the Jaffa sea, Jericho, the Jordan, and more. The pictures are described in three languages - English, French and German.
Album: 28x21 cm.
The upper left corners of the pages slightly are cut, the condition of the pictures and the flowers is very fine. Detached front binding. Some stains.
